Quando la temperatura aumenta nel microclima, il PCM cambiano il loro stato di aggregazione, diventano liquidi, assorbono il calore in eccesso e memorizzarlo. Non troppo caldo, appena a destra. PCM = paraffine riempite microcapsule.
Quando la temperatura scende, il PCM cambiano il loro stato di aggregazione, diventano cristallini e rilasciare il calore immagazzinato. L'equilibrio termico nel microclima è equilibrato e la differenza di temperatura compensata.

Outlast temperature control is able to maintain body temperature despite high temperature fluctuations and different body activities: not too hot, not too cold—but just right.
With its new material for wicking sweat away from the body, Outlast also works well for active sports.
When the temperature rises in the microclimate, the PCMs change their aggregation state, becoming liquid, absorbing excess heat, and storing it. Not too hot, just right. PCM = paraffin-filled microcapsules.
When the temperature drops, the PCMs change their aggregation state, becoming crystalline and releasing the stored heat. The thermal equilibrium in the microclimate is equilibrated and the temperature difference is compensated.
